يستعرض كتاب «بن نعيف العامري سيرة وتاريخ وديوان» للمؤلف محمد سيف بن نعيف العامري الجذور التاريخية لقبيلة العوامر ومسيرة أبنائها وشعرائها وأهم رجالتها وتناول لمحة تاريخية حول الإمارات وجوارها وقيام الدولة الاتحادية بقيادة المغفور له بإذن الله الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان طيب الله ثراه ويتطرق المؤلف إلى سير سمو الشيوخ من آل نهيان الذين تعاقبوا على الحكم في أبوظبي وذلك نظرا للارتباط الوثيق للشخصيات العامرية التي يدور حولها الجزء الأول بالكثير من شخصيات الحكام.
