كتاب \"الآن أتكلم\" عبارة عن مذكرات \"خالد محي الدين\" متضمنة شهادته عماحدث في ثورة يوليو 1952، وهذه الشهادة لها قيمة فريدة، تنبع من قيمة \"خالد محى الدين\" فهو أحد الستة الأول الذين شكلوا تنظيم الضباط الأحرار، وكان من أقرب الناس إلى عبد الناصر في العمل السياسى. ناهيك عن موقفه الواضح من قضية الديمقراطية الذي أدى به للاستقالة من مجلس قيادة الثورة. ويتضمن هذا الكتاب قدرا كبيرا من الأسرار التي تنشر لأول مرة عن علاقة عبد الناصر وخالد محي الدين بالإخوان، وكذلك صلة السادات بالسفارة البريطانية، وكيف تأثر عبد الناصر باستقالة كمال أتاتورك ومظاهرات الأتراك لإثنائه عنها. ولماذا عارض عبد الناصر التقيد ببرنامج تنظيم الضباط الأحرار ؟
