في هذا الكتاب ترجم الأستاذ حسين طرفي عليوي لأبرز (تيارات الشعر الإيراني المعاصر) فيبدأ بتعريف التيارات الحديثة التي تعمل على الساحة الإيرانية الآن، ثم يعود إلى تعريف التيارات السابقة حسب الترتيب الزمني لكل تيار، ويذكر كل ما يجري على الساحة الشعرية الإيرانية، ليقدم للقراء تيارين حديثين ضمن التيارات التي كانت موجودة ولا تزال ؛ وهما التيار المستقل والتيار البسيط، وفي ضوء ما سبق يأتي هذا الكتاب لكي يكون مساهمة مهمة في النفوذ إلى دواخل النصوص (الإيرانية) للكشف عن إنتماء الشعراء عبر النص الشعري المترجم، وليس عبر كتابات التاريخ الشعري الإيراني الذي دون بشكل خاطئ في بعض الكتب.
