Overview
ينقسم الكتاب إلى ثلاثة أبواب، يعالج الباب الأول منها الملامح العامة للصناعة وتحديد مفهوم جغرافية الصناعة ووظيفتها ومناهج البحث فيها، كما يتناول دراسة عوامل التوطن الصناعي ونظريات المواقع الصناعية ومجال أو إمكانيات تطبيقها في النظام الاشتراكي وفي مجموعة أقطار العالم الثالث، ويناقش الجزء الأخير من هذا الباب أنماط التوزيع الجغرافي للصناعة في العالم. أما الباب الثاني فيتضمن دراسة التصانيف الشائعة للصناعة في العالم ثم دراسة تطبيقية لعدد من الصناعات التحويلية وذلك على المستوى العالمي. والباب الثالث خصص لدراسة الأقاليم والمناطق الصناعية الرئيسية في العالم. وقد زود هذا الكتاب بعدد من الرسوم والخرائط التي تعين القارئ على فهم ما ورد فيه.
