Overview
ديوان الحماسة هو بالأصل مختارات شعرية جميلة جمعها وصنفها الشاعر الكبير أبو تمام الطائي الذي عاش أواخر العصر العباسي الأول (231-188) هجرية. وطبعت كديوان شعري شتمل على أنفس الأبيات الشعرية بشكل مقطوعات قصيرة من ثلاث إلى عشر أبيات تحمل جمال الوصف. وقد سمي هذا الديوان بالحماسة نسبة إلى اول أبوابه وأغزرها وأهمها وهو باب الحماسة ويليه أبواب عديدة هي المراثي والهجاء والنسيب والأضياف وباب في الصفات والمديح. واقتصر أبو تمام في اختياره على شعراء من العصر الجاهلي، وصدر الإسلام، والعصر الأموي وبعض الشعراء من العصر العباسي. وقد شرح ديوان الحماسة من عديد الكتاب.
