تؤرخ هذه الدراسة فكريا وتفرز، الظهور والتشكل لطرائق تفكير تيارات أيديولوجية رئيسة في الفكر العراقي الحديث وتزيد على ذلك الدرس والتحليل لتمثيلاتها الفلسفية، انطلاقا من إيمان بأن الأفكار الفلسفية جزء من تاريخ المجتمع الذي ظهرت فيه، تحاول أن تفسره وتغيره وكانت المسألة السياسية الاجتماعية محور هذا التأريخ الفكري ويوفر هذا التناول إمكان تبين ملامح خارطة التفكير الفلسفي في بيئة اجتماعية سياسية ربما لا تتوفر عليها مقتربات أخرى تميل إلى النظر في الفكر المجرد على نحو مجرد.
