يتحدث الكتاب عن معاناة الشعوب المستعمرة والنساء من تمركز النزعة الإنسانية حول الرجل الأبيض وإهمالها لكل ما هو غيره ولذلك كانت الرؤية الإنسانية قاصرة دائما عن إدراك رؤى أخرى تم تهميشها بسبب مركزية الرجل الأوروبي الأبيض المفكر الذي ينظر إلى العالم من منظوره الشخصي ولا يستطيع الوصول إلى رؤية أخرى ولا يبال بذلك ومن هنا جاءت الرؤى ما بعد الإنسانية Post-humanist التي تهتم بالرؤى التي تم تهميشها في ظل الرؤية الإنسانية فاهتم بعضها بحقوق النساء واهتم البعض الأخر بحقوق الشعوب المستعمرة.
