There
A young girl asks questions about growing up as she walks over rolling hills, climbs a ladder up to the stars, and meets a dragon.
Mary-Louise Fitzpatrick, Illustrator - Ireland
\"I pushed my own boundaries—artistically and subject-wise—and went somewhere new.\"
Owl bat, bat owl
An owl and a bat family endeavor to share living spaces on the same tree branch, where initial wariness is overcome by the curiosity of the families' babies on a wild and stormy night that compels them to set aside their apprehensions.

[Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick]'s book, she herself says, \"is about growing up\" and in a series of captivating illustrations there is, in the little girl, a \"sense of wonder and her belief that she can achieve anything\". Those beige, rolling, rounded, grassy hills look furry to the touch and the ribbon path leads you up and down. But the girl, all on her own, stands firm and faces the challenges before her. In optimistic blue, her hair matching the landscape, big bag held behind, she's ready to step forward. For Fitzpatrick, \"there is a wee hint of awe and impatience with how long it will all take\".
Communication in Close Relationships of Older People
Since the 1950s, the amount of research on the family situation of older people has increased substantially. In reaction to earlier depictions of older people as socially isolated and undervalued, most of the discussion has focused on evidence that older adults tend to have strong family ties, report considerable satisfaction with their marriages, and remain sexually active well into old age. In this chapter, we review these and other issues relevant to the aging marriage, and the picture typically looks positive.
