FAMILY JOINS CHOPPER-CRASH VIGIL
[Karen Butler], 40, of England, remained in a medically induced coma in Bellevue Hospital last night after almost drowning when the sightseeing chopper plunged into the East River Tuesday. Her mother-in-law, Christine Headland, 61, and sister Diane arrived yesterday and went immediately to the hospital, where they joined Butler's husband, Gary Rugless. She and Rugless were on the chopper with Australians Mary Johnston, 43, Greg Fisher, 32, and Taryn Fay; Frenchman Marc Chassin, 31; and pilot Yossi Ben-Bassat, who pulled Butler out of the water.
