Effects of ABC Running and Bodyweight Training combination: a case study on the speed of hurdling athletes
2024
The use of exercise in sports must be right on target on the physical component needed. Similarly, hurdling not only utilizes speed, but requires strength to get maximum results. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effects arising from the use of Running ABC exercises combined with Bodyweight Training. The study design used a two-group post-test pre-test of 22 trained male subjects enrolled in the study. The first stage includes initial tests to see initial ability and as a basis for determining the treatment group which is divided into two groups with ordinally paired patterns A-B-B-A for group alignment. Group 1 was given Running ABC exercises, and Group 2 Running ABC exercises were combined with Bodyweight Training. Each group was trained for 16 meetings. The test instrument used is a 50yard sprint over obstacles by measuring the speed of the athlete's travel time. The data analysis technique used was a difference test with IBM SPSS 24 statistics. The results of the study were obtained from data analysis there was a significant difference between group 1 who only used Running ABC exercises with group 2 who used Running ABC exercises combined with Bodyweight Training exercises with a difference value of 0.043<0.05. This means that running abc (agility, balance, and coordination) and body weight training are significant in increasing the running speed of hurdling athletes, but combining body weight training and running abc (agility, balance and coordination) is more effective than training using only one type of physical component exercise. By combining running abc exercises and body weight training, trainers can improve their athletes' overall fitness and technique, effectively improving balance, coordination, and functional strength.

The effect of physical exercise on oxygen saturation in college students
2023
The research aimed to investigate the effect of oxygen saturation on students before and after physical basketball training. This research employed an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. A total of 40 students, comprising 21 female students aged 18-20 years and 19 male students aged 18-20 years, participated in the research. Respondents were given treatment in the form of a 5 vs. 5 basketball game for 20 minutes. The saturation value was measured using a pulse oximetry device. Oxygen saturation was measured before exercise and after exercise. The statistical analysis technique used the t-dependent sample test with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study showed that the average oxygen saturation of male students at the pre-test was 96.47% and 95.47% at the post-test. For female students, the average pre-test oxygen saturation was 96.29% and 95.10%. Overall, the average oxygen saturation value before exercise was 96.38% and decreased after exercise to 95.28%. Based on the results of statistical calculations, there was no notable change in oxygen saturation values after basketball physical training (t-observation 2.157 < t-tabie 2.44). There was no notable change in oxygen saturation after physical exercise or a decrease in oxygen saturation, indicating that basketball training did not necessitate an increased oxygen uptake by the tissue. During the period, the peripheral appeared to function normally with no observed rise in oxygen uptake. Based on the research results, a physical exercise carried out for 20 minutes did not affect oxygen saturation.

An assessment of mass production and nutrient composition of Black Soldier Fly Maggot on different agriculture by-product to fermented growth media
2022
Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot is an eco-friendly alternative for animal feedstuff and its growth and development is impacted by a substrate nutrient. Therefore, this study aims to determine the production and nutrient composition of BSF (Hermetia illucens) maggots using different fermented growth media from agriculture by-products. The study adopted a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replications. The treatments include P0 = 100% Fermented Rice Bran, P1 = 50% each of Fermented Coconut by-product and Rice Bran, P2 = 50% each of Fermented Tofu by-product and Rice Bran, P3 = 50% each of Fermented Palm Kernel Meal and Rice Bran, P4 = 25% each of Fermented Rice Bran, Coconut by-product, Fermented Tofu by-product, and Palm Kernel Meal. The results showed a significant difference in BSF maggot production in each treatment because of the media nutrient content. Therefore, the quantity is influenced by the quality and amount of the maggot growing media. Also, the protein content and the production in the P4 treatment have the highest values of 19.26% and 831.50g, respectively.
