The \Khawarej\ Term in the Speeches and the Interviews of his Majesty King Abdullah II in the International Forums and its Historical Aspects and the Western Opinion of it
Extremism today is considered one of the problems that has developed in our region and has contributed to its destruction. Under the Arab Spring Revolution and the economic deterioration, extremism has emerged in its bloodiest image, and it deceived and attracted a group of our nation's youth. They covered themselves with religious covers and used texts from the Quran and Sunnah (the heritage of Prophet Muhammad), so their affliction was increasing day after day. With the events in Syria and Iraq, the cards were shuffled to show how those people are no longer a group of gangs that strike here and there; they now have for themselves armies, countries, weapons, economies worth millions. Millions of people became homeless, laying on the grounds of the most chaotic countries. The need became urgent, if not essential, for official and public efforts to resist this disease at all levels, especially by the leaders of the Islamic nation. The first chapter of this study dealt with the speeches of his Majesty King Abdullah II, which represents his Majesty's efforts on fighting extremism, especially his use of the term \"Khawarej\". It also attempted to understand the problem in its historical aspect and its modern contemporary aspect. In addition to diagnosing it's naming to differentiate the ranks. In this study, we preferred to write in detail about the situation of this clan \"Khawarej\" according to their origin and what was said about it in our religion from the authentic Sunnah. As for the second chapter, we have shed light on the contemporary emergence that happened gradually of a group of thoughts that were founded 70 years ago by a group of Islamic groupings until it reached the modern Khawarej extremism that is living today. Then chapter three, and it is the core chapter here, has shed light on the vision of his Majesty King Abdullah II, through his speeches and interviews, of what is happening in our world and his analysis in its historical and modern aspects. Hence, his contributions were part of the understanding and the accurate diagnosis of the extremism and terrorism problem. In conclusion, the research will have explained the reason behind using this term, \"Khawarej\".

موقف الملك عبدالله الثاني ملك المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية من التطرف والإرهاب
المهمة الرئيسة لهذا البحث هي عرض وتحليل الرؤية الفكرية، التي قدمها الملك عبد الله الثاني، ملك المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، في مجال مكافحة التطرف والإرهاب، بما شكلاه من خطر يتهدد أمن الدول والمجتمعات عربيا وعالميا، وبما رافقهما من تشويه لصورة الإسلام، وإضرار بمصالح العرب والمسلمين وقضاياهم. فهذه الدراسة مكرسة لبلورة ما قدمه الملك عبد الله الثاني من مقاربات فكرية، في تشخيص أسباب شيوع الفكر المتطرف والممارسات الإرهابية، وتحديد مخاطرهما، وسبل مواجهتمها، خلال سنوات حكمه ١٩٩٩- ٢٠٢٠، وذلك بالاعتماد على خطابه السياسي الموجه إلى العالم في مناسبات ومؤتمرات سياسية وثقافية وإعلامية متنوعة عبر العالم، عبر فيها عن قناعاته الفكرية ورؤاه السياسية المدافعة عن مستقبل مشترك للإنسانية، من خلال التصدي لظاهرة التطرف والإرهاب بكل أشكالها ومصادرها، بعيدا عن الادعاء بأنها منحصرة في البيئة الإسلامية. وليس من مهام هذا البحث دراسة السياسات والإجراءات والمواقف، التي اتخذتها الدولة الأردنية بقيادة الملك عبد الله الثاني في مواجهة التطرف والإرهاب، كما ليس من مهام هذا البحث التأريخ لظاهرة التطرف والإرهاب في الأردن، أو في المنطقة العربية.

The Position of King Abdullah II towards Extremism and Terrorism
The main aim of This study is to present and analyze the intellectual vision offered by King Abdullah II, the king of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the domain of fighting extremism and terrorism, which both represent a danger threatening the security of countries and societies at both an Arab and global level, which disfigure and distort the image of Islam, while also harming the interests of Muslims. Actually, this study is devoted to the crystallization and elucidation of the intellectual approaches of King Abdallah II, insofar as their diagnosis of the causes of the spread of extremist thought and terrorist practices, whilst determining their risks, and the means of confronting them, such by drawing on his political discourse addressed to the world in diverse political, cultural and media events and conferences across the world, at which he expressed his intellectual convictions and political visions advocating a shared future for humanity, through resisting the phenomenon of extremism and terrorism of all forms and sources, in a manner removed from claiming that it is confined to the Islamic environment. It is not one of the aims of this Research to study policies and measures adopted by the Jordanian State under the leadership of King Abdullah II in confronting extremism and terrorism. Moreover, it is not one of the aims of this study to narrate the history of the phenomenon of extremism and terrorism in Jordan, or in the Arab region.

A Field Study on Jordanian University Students' Attitudes towards the Phenomenon of Terrorism
This study aims at analyzing the Jordanian university students' attitudes to the phenomenon of terrorism in order to determine the extent of their awareness to this phenomenon and its threat to the society's security and stability. The sample of the study consisted of (477) male and female students from Yarmouk University and Jerash Private University. The descriptive analytical approach was used because it was relevant to the study's objectives and questions. The study as well used a questionnaire as a main tool for data collection and analysis. The findings of the study revealed that the students examined have a high level of awareness of the phenomenon of terrorism in all of its forms. Furthermore, the data analysis showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of awareness of the students regarding the phenomenon of terrorism due to the variables of the study at the significance level (α = 0.05). The study presented a number of recommendations, which matches with the results reached to.

تقييم أبعاد السياسات الأردنية في مكافحة الظاهرة الإرهابية
جاءت هذه الدراسة لتقييم أبعاد السياسات الأردنية لمكافحة الظاهرة الإرهابية، وقد انطلقت من فرضية رئيسية مفادها: أن السياسات الأردنية لمكافحة الظاهرة الإرهابية تركز على الأبعاد الأمنية والعسكرية على حساب الأبعاد السياسية والاقتصادية. ولاختبار هذه الفرضية، تناولت الدراسة مخاطر الإرهاب على الأردن ودوافع مكافحته ومن ثم تطرقت الدراسة لإبعاد السياسات الأردنية لمكافحة الظاهرة الإرهابية سياسيا واقتصاديا وأمنيا وعسكريا، ومن تم قيمت الدراسة أبعاد السياسات الأردنية في مكافحة الظاهرة، اعتمادا على عدد من المناهج، كمنهج تحليل النظم، والمنهج المقارن، والمنهج الوصفي الإحصائي لتوضيح جوانب الدراسة المختلفة. ثبت للدراسة أن السياسات الأردنية في مكافحة الظاهرة الإرهابية تتركز على السياسات الأمنية والعسكرية بشكل أكبر من التركيز على السياسات الاقتصادية والسياسية، وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج أهمها: أن السياسة الأردنية لمكافحة الإرهاب تركز بشكل كبير على الأبعاد الأمنية والعسكرية بالدرجة الأولى، ثم يأتي الاهتمام بالبعد الاقتصادي في المرتبة الثانية، والاهتمام بالبعد السياسي في المرتبة الثالثة، الأمر الذي يعني بأن هناك تباين وخلل واضح في السياسة الأردنية لمكافحة الإرهاب ويجب تصحيحه.
