Indonesia's small entrepreneurs : trading on the margins
\"The book explores the socio-economic and cultural relationships that make life for small entrepreneurs in Makassar, on the eastern Indonesian island of Sulawesi, so distinctive. The application of this new framework for research reveals the diversity of labour flexibility, networking and cluster styles among the enterprises studied, and the constraints they face for growth. Applied in the context of Makassar, it allows us to gain an in-depth understanding of what life is like for the small-scale entrepreneurs who operate in the city. The analysis begins with an examination of the internal dynamics of the enterprise studies, concentrating on their history, production processes and labour flexibility. It then moves to explore inter-firm dynamics, focusing upon the networks, trust and clusters that have evolved amongst the enterprises, and also with other local economic factors. These insights give us a clear understanding of the constraints that small-scale entrepreneurs face in trying to attain their own versions of 'success'.\"--BOOK JACKET.
Probalistic Thinking Based on Probabilistic Thinking Responses to Math Problem Solving
2021
The objective of the study is to describe the fourth-grade students' probabilistic thinking response of SD State Elementary 4 Kaliwuluh, Karanganyar regency, Central Java, Indonesia to math solving the problem of geometry. It used a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that the students' responses were in four categories. Their non-response responses were difficult to understand questions and so that they guested their answers. In the non-statistic responses, they could solve their answers self-confidently. In the partial statistic response, they related the materials obtained, but they did not use a proper concept. In the statistic responses, they could relate the answers by using a mathematical concept and count systematically.

Identifying the effect of tenant mix on rental price
This study reviews the literature about the correlation between the rental price and tenant mix in the shopping center. Our research aims at determining which variables can describe the model of tenant mix impact on the rental cost. One of the aspects that influence the architectural experience for shopping center visitors is the tenant mix aspect. Shopping centers with an optimum tenant mix may enhance its shopping experience and its rental price. Previous studies on rental cost and tenant mix have only been carried out in the first world countries and western countries. Indonesia has never conducted this study, so there is yet a method to quantify rental prices based on the tenant mix level for Indonesian shopping centers. Results of this literature study found that tenant mix variables include the number of units, size of the shopping center, average unit area, number of categories, and number of brands. Thus the shopping center in Indonesia would have a quantification standard of rental prices in the tenant mix level. Shopping center manager and retail observer in Indonesia can apply this quantification method. In the future, researchers may develop this study; they may examine the regression calculation on the correlation between shopping center rental prices and tenant mix.

Investigation of Museum Exhibition Display in Terms of Inclusive Information for Blind Visitors
2020
A museum is a place where we can learn about the culture of a place. Museums rely on their exhibition display to communicate its content. Museum exhibition displays mostly use visual media in communicating its information; they store their collections inside glass boxes, use LED screens, visual projections, and so on. Then how museums can be adapted to be more inclusive to blind visitors who lost their sight? This paper investigates the museum exhibition display, that took place in Bank Indonesia Museum, in its ability to give information to blind visitors. The author observed the existing of Bank Indonesia Museum Exhibition to know what kind of display that they use. Furthermore, to acknowledge if the exhibition can give information for blind visitors, the author experienced visiting the exhibition as a blind visitor. Lastly, the author analysed if it is inclusive and informative or not based on the theories. Based on the studies that have been done by the author, museum exhibition display has to provide medias that can help blind visitors get the information provided such as audio and touch medias, considering the ability of blind visitor to get information from hearing and touching.

Indonesia's cyber diplomacy strategy as a deterrence means to face the threat in the indo-pacific region
2021
This paper discusses Indonesia's cyber diplomacy strategy as a deterrence means to deal with the threat of cyberspace security in the Indo-Pacific region. Advances in information and communication technology in each country have driven new threats in cyberspace. Indonesia as one of the highest internet user countries in the world is inseparable from the threat of attacks in the cyberspace. The literature method is used to interpret the problem and to present more details in the cyber diplomacy efforts. This literature method approach is used to find perceptions and definitions from various references in relevant contexts and to carry out a process of identifying the defense forces possessed by cyber institutions in Indonesia and the challenges faced in the Indo-Pacific region. Following the circumstances, risk mitigation can be carried out as the basis for developing cyber diplomacy strategies and policies in Indonesia. However, this defense diplomacy strategy may not be effective if it is only carried out in dichotomic by one or two agencies only.

The students' Physics Problem Solving Skills in basic physics course
2021
One important skill that can support the success of learning physics for students is problem solving skills. This study explores the level of Physics Problem Solving Skills (PPSS) of 54 first semester students (11 men and 43 women, age range 16-18 years) in basic physics course in the science and physics education study program at Universitas Bengkulu, Indonesia. In the first lecture, students learn the concept of one-dimensional motion includes uniformly accelerated motion and vertical motion, but the lecturer does not provide examples of problems and how to solve them. In the second lecture, students learn the concept of Newton's Law and its application, and the lecturer gives examples of problems and stages to solve them, however the lecturer does not emphasize that these stages are important procedures in solving physical problems. At the end of each lesson, students are given an essay Physics Problem Solving Skills test. Based on an analysis of student answers, it is known that in general the student PPSS level is still in the novice and transition categories. This indicates the importance of developing and implementing basic physics lecture programs that are able to promote students' higher-order thinking skills including physics problem solving skills.

Modeling of covid-19 in Indonesia using vector autoregressive integrated moving average
2021
A phenomenon of coronavirus became a big deal around the world at the end of December 2019. To find out how deadly the disease is, we can use the Case Fatality Rate (CFR), which provides the ratio number of deaths due to covid-19 between founded cases number of covid-19. However, studies to see the relationship between the number of cases and the number of deaths caused by covid-19 in Indonesia rarely done. Time Series analysis that can see how the relationship between the number of cases and the number of deaths due to covid-19 in Indonesia is Vector Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average analysis (VARIMA). Data used in this model must be qualified the stationary. For that reason, the transformation using differencing and logarithm on data must be performed to resolve non-stationary. The result shows the model that fulfilled all assumptions and had the smallest AICC value is VARIMA (1,1,1). The model shows the number of cases influenced by the number of cases and the number of deaths in the previous period. The same condition applies to the number of deaths affected by the number of deaths and the number of cases from the preceding period.
