The panel, which was moderated by the Librarian Maryam Al Balushi in the Information Center, highlighted several topics, including the importance of reading in enriching and broadening the mind of the reader, promoting knowledge and culture, and developing linguistic and expressive abilities. It also explored how to switch from reading to writing and the ways to learn and develop the arts of writing through reading and practice.

As the panel’s highlight, discussing the Writing with a White Pen book started with how the idea was created and developed in a unique way, as well as distinctively and logically arranging and organising ideas. The optimal methods to research and collect necessary information for writing were also highlighted, along with the challenges that faced the writer and how he overcame them. The session eventually came to reiterate the main steps that authors should observe after writing their books, along with how to expand their relations network in the fields of writing and publishing.

Additionally, the event included a prominent presentation of the Writing with a White Pen book, along with distributing gift books to the participants and attendants. Concluding the event, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library recognised Abdullah Alhumami for his leading role and contributions in the UAE Reading Month.
