مختار الصحاح كتبه محمد بن أبي بكر بن عبد القادر الرازي، وكان قد اختصره عن تاج اللغة وصحاح العربية تاركا ترتيب مداخله حسب الترتيب التقليدي، أي بدءا بحروف أواخر الكلمات و قد امتاز معجم مختار الصحاح بإشارته في كثير من الأحيان في صدد الألفاظ الضعيفة والرديئة والمعربة وذكر الألفاظ الندرة والأضداد وعنايته بجوانب الصرف من اشتقاق وإبدال وإعلال. معجم لغوي له أهمية كبرى لدى العلماء والباحثين والمهتمين باللغة على اختلاف العصور لأن مؤلفه اتبع خطة في كتابه لم يسبقه إليها أحد من اللغويين وأبدع منهجاً جعل العلماء يترسمون خطواته وقد قدم شرحاً وافياً لكلمات اللغة العربية بطريقة سلسة وسهلة على القاريء.
