هذا الكتاب ومؤلفه عدنان الحسيني لقد تمكن من أدواته في التأليف فعرض الأفكار والنصوص قديمها وحديثها وناقش بهدوء وروية، وحاول تفنيد بعضها واستحسان بعضها الآخر لمؤلفين وكتاب كبار بكل واقعية وجرأة وحيادية وكان هدفه الأول والأخير هو الوصول إلى خطاب شیعي متمدن خال من التعصب والأحكام المسبقة كي يفوت الفرصة على الأعداء والمتربصين بالمذهب والعودة به إلى منابعه العذبة حيث عبق النبوة والإمامة يعط بشذاه جزيرة العرب. وفي الوقت الذي أدعو فيه القارئ للتروي وهو يقلب صفحات أتمنى عليه كذلك أن يتفهم القصد وما يريده الكاتب من عزة ومنعة للمذهب الشيعي واتباعه في كل زمان ومكان، سواء اتفق معه في طروحاته أم لم يتفق والله من وراء القصد.
