يتناول كتاب (ليلة الغلطة) والذي قام بتأليفه الطاهر بن جلون، موضوع (رواية) الكتاب رواية تدور أحداثها في المغرب وبالتحديد في ثلاث مدن وهي فاس وطنجة وشاوين. بطلة الرواية زينة حبلت بها أمها في ليلة مشؤومة أسماها المؤلف ليلة الغلطة، وهي ليلة تفتقر للبركة والخير. ولدت زينة في ذات اليوم الذي توفى فيه جدها المؤمن، ولذلك أعتبرت الأسرة ولادتها علامة نحس. تكبر زينة وتصبح امرأة على الهامش، وقد أصابها ذاك القدر بلعنة أبدية، فتجعل من القسوة طريقتها للعيش في هذا العالم، وتنتقم من الرجال الذين يأسرهم جمالها. تستخدم \"زينة\" نفسها لغواية عشاقها ثم تدمرهم.
