Overview
حظت الانتخابات الرئاسية عام ٢٠١٨ بأهمية بالغة؛ فهي اختبار حقيقي لمدى تطبيق نصوص الدستور فيما يخص اختيار الرئيس، بالإضافة إلى الاهتمام الخارجي بها على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي. في هذا الإطار، اعتمدت الورقة البحثية على أسلوب المسح بالعينة، حيث تم استطلاع رأى عينة احتمالية من الجمهور العام قوامها ٢٠٤٤ مبحوثا. وشملت عينة المحافظات ١٤ محافظة، وتناقش الورقة ملامح نظام الحكم والصلاحيات التي يتمتع بها الرئيس وفقا للدستور، ثم اتجاهات المشاركة أو عدم المشاركة في الانتخابات الرئاسية وأسبابها، والرأي بشأن الثقة في نزاهة الانتخابات، ومطالب المواطنين من الرئيس.
