تناول البحث اسما من أسماء الله الحسنى وهو اسم (الشهيد)، وبين البحث معنى الشهيد في اللغة، ومعناه في حق الله- جل وعلا- وأدلة ثبوت هذا الاسم الله- جل وعلا من القرآن والسنة، وتناول الشهادة الإلهية بذكر أهم صورها، ثم أبرز البحث الآثار التي تعود على العبد عند اعتقاده باسم الله الشهيد، ولمعالجة موضوع البحث سلكت المنهج الاستقرائي، والتحليلي، وكان من أهم نتائج البحث، ثبوت اسم الشهيد الله- جل وعلا، وشهادة الله لنفسه بتفرده بالألوهية، وشهادته لرسله بصدق النبوة، وشهادة الله أجل وأكبر وأعظم الشهادات.
