Overview
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the Self-Stigma among prisoners in Jeddah Govemorate, and its
Relation to thar Marriage Status and Years of imprisonment. A total of 100 Prisoners were selected. Then
instruments of Self-Stigma and its managing Strategies Prepared by the Author were Administrated. The data is then
anal>7.cd using; means, t.test. Anova. The results show that the order of Self-Stigma dimensions was; mental,
emotional, social and physical. The results indicate the degree of stigma was high. The Results also showed that the
most preferred Stigma managing strategies were religions ways. The results. Finally, showed that no significant
difference exists between married and unmamcd prisoners, and their years of imprisonment in both Stigma and
Stigma managing strategies. The results wercdiscusscd in the Context of Saudi culture. Recommendation was made.)
