QUANDO IL RELATIVISMO ERA UNA COSA BUONA
بواسطة
Solaro, Giuseppe
في
DISCUSSIONI E RECENSIONI
2017
The article focuses on some aspects of the relationship of the ancients with the others. One of the most highly here regarded authors is Herodotus, of which we analyze the historiographical relativism. But we also refer to the Roman world and to writers like Cornelius Nepos, who was ethically attentive to the costumes of all peoples. Therefore the question of the diversity of the costumes was already present in the classical world. And Greeks and Romans had a lot of curiosity about foreigners and their uses though obviously they not always made them their own. Among the other topics here covered in this vast theme that of the translation and the relationship with other people's language. Finally, you can find a hint to the Christian mentality.

RECENSIONI E DISCUSSIONI
2017
The article examines some Greek myths that have female characters as protagonists, through the mediation of Cesare Pavese, a classic of twentieth-century Italian literature. The research aims to highlight the writer's relationship with the Greek sources and to identify the mythical paradigms that embody his bitter vision of women and of the entire human existence.

MELEAGRO E LA VIOLA BIANCA DELLA POESIA (AP 4, 1, 55 S. = HE 3980 S.)

NOTE DI LETTURA E RECENSIONI
2016
In Meleag. AP 4, 1, 55 s. (= HE 3980 s.) the poet compares himself to the white violet, the earliest flower to appear, blooming in a mild climate at the beginning of winter as Theophrastus (HP 6, 8, 1) says to us: perhaps this imagine shows that Meleager hopes his epigrams become a model for new love poetry, the last sign of a glorious past and a new beginning for the future.

SUL TESTO DELLA I \ELEGIA\ DI MASSIMIANO
2016
Despite the significant progress made in recent critical editions dedicated to Maximian, the text of Elegiae is still inundated with overly innovative and speculative critical-textual readings, even though there is rarely a clear balance in the choice of these divergent analyses. A review of these controversial lessons has therefore become necessary in order to resolve some critical interpretations which abound in Maximian's work.

IL ‘FASCINO’ DI DEMETRIO TRICLINIO: NOTA CRITICO-TESTUALE AD EUR. HF 677 = 691

NOTE DI LETTURA E RECENSIONI
2016
According to paleographie, metrical and linguistic elements, I suggest this text for Eur. HF 677 = 691: αἰεὶ δ’ ἐν στεφάνοις εἴην = παιὰ̃να δ’ ἐπὶ σοι̃ς μελάθροις. The free responsion between glyconic and 'wilamowitzianus' preserves the colometry of manuscripts. This responsion is frequently attested in Euripidean metrical practice and it also appears in other verses of this strophic pair.

LA GENEALOGIA DI GRINO (SERV. IN ECL. 6, 72)

NOTE DE LETTURA E RECENSIONI
2016
After some considerations about mythological patterns and Servius' usus scribendi, Serv. in Ecl. 6, 72 (the parentage of Grynus: Eurypylus namque filius Telephi, Herculis et Augēs filii, ex Astiochē, Laomedontis filia, fuit qui Grynum procreauit), which is part of the Scholia Danielis, is suspected to come from an unknown, but, at least in this case, consistent source. An emendment (e[x] Astiochē , Laomedontis filia ) is moreover cautiously put forward.
