يتناول الكتاب شخصيات القرآن جاءت ضمن القصص التي أخبر بها الله في القرآن عن أناس معينون في الأمم الماضية وقد يأتى ذكر تلك الشخصيات صراحة بأسمائهم وأقوامهم وزمانهم مثل قصص الأنبياء وأممهم وهناك شخصيات جاء ذكرهم بصفاتهم أو ألقابهم أو كنيتهم دون تحديد زمانهم فاحتار فيهم العلماء والمفسرون فالهدف من ذكرهم في القرءان أخذ العبرة وتقرأ في هذا الكتاب ذكر هؤلاء وقد أسميناهم الشخصيات الغامضة التي حيرت العلماء ومن هؤلاء الذين تتعرف عليهم من خلال ذكر القرآن لهم وتفسير أهل العلم لتلك الشخصيات، تقرأ عن أكثر أربعة وعشرين شخصية قرآنية.
