هذا العمل عبارة عن نسخة موضحة ومزخرفة من تحفة الأخيار وهو النسخة التركية العثمانية من القصة المعروفة السندباد (سندباد نامه) يسرد الكتاب قصة السندباد الحكيم (وليس سندباد البحار)، الذي كان معلما لابن أحد الملوك الشرقيين. ألف الكتاب عبد الكريم بن محمد خلال حكم السلطان سليمان الأول، الذي يدعى العظيم، الذي حكم من 1520 وحتى 1566. النص مكتوب بخط النسخ الأسود بكلمات قليلة باللون الذهبي والأحمر وعناوين الفصول مكتوبة باللون الذهبي. يرجع تاريخ المخطوطة إلى القرن السادس عشر وتبدأ بصفحة افتتاحية مزخرفة (صحيفة 1ب). هناك ستة رسوم توضيحية.
