يتناول الباحث جملة من القضايا النقدية الهامة ويبحث في جوانب تاريخية وتطبيقية، وقد خصص الفصل الأول للبحث في مفهوم ونشأة النقد الثقافي وتطوره. أما الفصل الثاني فدرس مرجعيات النقد الثقافي عند الناقد السعودي الغذامي، وفيه تناول هذا النقد عند أسماء عربية وغربية. وفي الفصل الثالث قرأ المنهج النقدي الثقافي عند الغذامي بحث المنظومة الإصلاحية والإنسان القافية، وموضوعات الشعر والفحولة، الطاغية، الصمت، صراع الأنساق.
