تقوم فكرة الكتاب على أن عملية التطهير العرقي، قد تم التخطيط لها بصورة مسبقة وواعية عبر شبكة مترابطة وتنظيم محكم وأوامر صريحة وواضحة تنطلق كلها من فلسفة الحركة الصهيونية وممارساتها المرتبطة - بصورة كلية - بالرؤية والمخطط الرأسمالي العالمي باعتباره صاحب المصلحة الرئيسية في قيام دولة إسرائيل في بلادنا، من هنا جاء كتاب \"ايلان بابيه\" ليفضح بالوثائق دور الحركة الصهيونية وعنصريتها ووظيفتها وتحالفاتها، وذلك ارتباطا بموقفه الصريح المعادي للحركة الصهيونية والامبريالية الأمريكية وكل أشكال العنصرية والاضطهاد، دون أن يعني ذلك موقفا صريحا منه ضد وظيفة دولة العدو ومبرر وجودها في خدمة النظام الرأسمالي من ناحية أو مع قيام دولة عربية ديمقراطية علمانية في فلسطين من ناحية ثانية، رغم تأكيده على فكرة الدولة الديمقراطية الواحدة (إسرائيل) في ضوء المأزق المسدود الذي وصل إليه حل الدولتين.
