الكتاب عبارة عن وجهة نظر إسرائيلية لقصة حياة أخطر جاسوس لإسرائيل أثناء الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي وقبل نكسة ١٩٦٥. كامل ثابت أمين أو إيلي كوهين الجاسوس الذي استطاع أن يكون مصدرا للمعلومات للكيان اليهودي والذي كانت لمعلوماته آثرا كبيرا على نتيجة حرب ١٩٦٥. طبعا الكتاب مؤلفه يهودي وبالتالي هناك الكثير من المبالغات لشخصيته وتصويره أنه بطل خارق، ولكن في ذلك الزمن كان الوصول إلى المعلومات ليس بذلك الأمر الصعب في ظل عقيدة من كانوا يتحكمون في مصائر الأوطان والشك في الشعب المقهور بدلا من البحث والتقصي لأعداء الأوطان الحقيقيين. كتاب يشعرك بالقرف من كل من يلبس البدلة العسكرية في أوطاننا العربية وكل همهم الكأس والنساء والاستقواء على المدنيين العزل. ليبقوا في مراكز السلطة.
