يستعرض الكتاب أفكار محددة عن الكون والانسان والحياة الاسئلة المركزية في حياة الانسان وبهذه النظرة إلى الأوضاع القائمة وأرجاعها إلى مصادرها بحيث يتمكن المسلم وغيره من تمييز اختيار القاعدة التي يقيم عليها افكاره والكيفية التي يبني عليها ميوله والهدف العام من الكتاب الذي سار له الكاتب عن طريق استعراض المواضيع الأكثير أهمية وأكثر جدلا في الثقافة الإسلامية وحسم الأمر فيها في ترجيخ رأي على رأي ومبدأ على مبدأ بعد استعراضه للمبادئ التي ينبثق المرء عنها ويدعوا لها في الأوساط الموجودة (الإسلامي والشيوعي الأشتراكي والرأسمالي) واستعرض لأهم مايدعوه كل مبدأ منهم ومدى المفارقة بينه وبين المبدأ الإسلامي.
