يقدم هذا الكتاب علم أجنة الفقاريات من وجهة عملية فهو تجارب عملية في علم الأجنة وقد بدأ بشرح أجهزة معمل الأجنة التجريبي ثم قدم تجارب على أجنة البرمائيات فعرض لتجارب عملية على حث إنتاج البيض ونمو الأجنة وتنشيط التبويض في الضفادع وكذلك تجدد الزعنفة الذيلية لطور أبي ذنيبة أما تجاربه على الطيور فعرض فيها للتكوين الجنيني للدجاج وزراعة القرص الجرثومي لجنين الدجاج وتحضير الشرائح الكاملة والقطاعات لهذا الجنين وقد حصر الكتاب تجاربه على الثدييات في أجنة الفئران فعرض للإخصاب الاصطناعي الخارجي وزراعة وجمع الأجنة ونقلها ودمجها في الفأر.
