تعتبر الحملة الإنجليزية الشهيرة على مصر، والتي تسمى حملة \"فريزر\" عام 1807 ميلادية، إبان حكم محمد علي باشا تعتبر هذه الحملة حدثا تاريخيا مشرفا، بالنسبة للنتيجة التي جناها النضال المصري في تلك الحقبة، إذ أنها كانت صمودا شعبيا مذهلا في مواجهة جيش مدرب حديث، بل تحول ذلك الصمود العظيم إلى مد زاحف ألحق بالمهاجمين هزيمة نكراء تستوجب الفخر والتأمل، إذ ليس من الضروري أن ينتصر الأكثر عددا وعدة، إن صاحب الحق، إذا أخلص في نضاله، مدعم بقوة أبدية فوق التصور، ولا غرابة في ذلك، فإن المستعمر كان دائما أقوى ماديا من أصحاب الأرض المحتلة، لكن النتيجة كانت دائما في جانب أصحاب الحق ... كانت إنجلترا أقوى من مصر، وكانت فرنسا أقوى من الجزائر ... ومع ذلك فقد إنتصر أصحاب الحق برغم تفوق عددهم من حيث العدة وعدد الجيش والإمكانيات الحديثة ... إنه درس صغير بسيط ... دون فلسفات أو تعقيدات فهل تعي أجيالنا هذه الحقيقة ؟
