أنطلقت دراسة هذا الكتاب عن معاناة الطفل الكويتي والأمراض النفسية التي أصابته من جراء العدوان العراقي الغاشم على دولة الكويت والنتائج والظواهر التي توصلت إليها الدراسات السابقة في هذا المجال-ليضع المركز شعوب العالم أجمع وهيئاته ومنظماته أمام التجربة التي لحقت بالطفل الكويتي-مع العناية بأهمية إبراز الحلول والتوصيات التي تضمنتها هذه الدراسات بشأن إعادة تأهيل ضحايا هذا الغزو من الأطفال حتى يتمكنوا من ممارسة دورهم الطبيعي في المجتمع، وقد تضمن الكتاب ثلاثة فصول: الأول عن مراحل نمو الطفل وخصائص كل مرحلة والثاني عن التاثير النفسي للعدوان العراقي على أطفال الكويت والثالث يختص بإعادة تأهيل أطفال الكويت الذين تعرضوا لآثار نفسية نتيجة العدوان العراقي.
