هذا الكتاب يضم الجزء الأول والثاني من كتاب -تاريخ تركيا- الذي ألفه المؤرخ البحاثة الشهير يلماز أوزطونا بدءا من وجود الترك على وجه البسيطة وحتى العصر الحديث. ويقتصر الجزء الأول في هذا الكتاب على نشأة الأتراك، ومناطقهم الجغرافية، والدول التركية الكبرى في الهند والصين وأقطار أخرى قبل الإسلام وبعده. ويتابع المؤلف ليسلط الضوء على السلاجقة والغزنويين، كما يبحث في انفتاح الأتراك على القارة الأوروبية. ويتطرق الكتاب في قسمه الثاني إلى الأناضول وتركيا، ويزود القارئ بأدق المعلومات عن الحروب الصليبية واشتراك الأتراك في رد تلك الحملات، كما يعطي القارئ معلومات واسعة ودقيقة عن إمارات الأناضول ودولها التركية.
