انطلق الكاتب في أغوار النفس البشرية من خلال انطلاقه في نفس المتنبي وشعره، ومجد كل معنى إنساني جميل يفتقده (آدم العصر وحواء اليوم)، مجد بساطة البادية بظبياتها الجافلات في رأس الفلاة، ونشر خزاماها، وجمالها الفطري، وثياب الروح والأخلاق فيها، ومجد عفة التعزل ونبذ شعر الذين يروجون لشعرهم بقلة الحياء، وعاش بوجدانه في مرابع طفولته حيث (الذكريات جياد لونتها المواقف والظروف)، وتجمعت من خطواته النفسية العميقة حيث تضرب (قدم الذهن) في متاهات الإنسان، فلسفة الحكمة والتجربة التي تسمى الأشياء بأسمائها الحقيقية كمدلول الرجعية والتقدمية، ومدلول الحضارة، وموقف الإنسان من الطبيعة والكون، وهو لا يغفل في تناوله المعاني المجرد، واقع العرب والمسلمين في حاضرهم، ولا عبرة التاريخ من ماضيهم.
