كتاب مقالات رصینة وتحقیقات أمنية للأستاذ الكبیر محمد بن أحمد العقیلي والكتاب یقع في 320 صفحة من القطع المتوسط یحفل بالعدید من المقالات والمباحث القدیمة والحدیثة في النقد والأدب والتاریخ والآثار والن السعودیة الحدیثة وأجوبة واستطلاعات وحوارات صحفیة نشرت للمؤلف في عدد من الصحف والمجلات السعودیة والعربیة خلال الفترة من عام 1396 / إلى 1417هـ. كما حفل الكتاب الذي طبع بمطابع الجنوب بجازان بالعدید من الدراسات الأدبیة والتاریخیة منھا دراسة عن صحة أسماء بعض البلدان بالمنطقة ودراسة عن مدینة عثر التاریخیة التي ورد اسمھا في بعض خرائط البحریة البریطانیة ودراسة عن القوة البحریة في الدولة السعودیة الأولى بالإضافة إلى مقالات متنوعة نشرت للمؤلف وختتم الكتاب باستعراض ما ورد من اختلافات حول قصیدة ھذا الذي تعرف البطحاء وطأتھ وعدد أيامھا وقائلھا والتي نشرت في مجلة الحرس الوطني عدد ربیع الآخر عام 1417ھ.
