موضوع هذا الكتاب له شأنه وله أهميته في نفسه وبالنسبة لكتابته في هذا الوقت فبين كتابته وبين الوقت الذي نعيش فيه الأن مناسبة قوية أما أهميته في نفسه فذلك لأنه في أصل من أصول الإسلام هو الولاء والبراء وهما مظهران من مظاهر إخلاص المحبة لله ثم لأنبيائه وللمؤمنين والبراء مظهر من مظاهر كراهية الباطل وأهله وهذا أصل من أصول الإيمان وأما أهميته بالنظر للوقت الحاضر فلأنه قد اختلط الحابل بالنابل وغفل الناس عن مميزات المؤمنين التي يتميزون بها عن الكافرين وضعف الإيمان في قلوبهم حتىظهرت فيهم مظاهر يكرهها المؤمن ومن هنا تأتي أهمية نشر هذا الكتاب فى هذا الوقت الحاضر بالذات ولقد جاء المؤلف على جوانب الولاء والبراء ونقل فى ذلك كثيرا من كلام العلماء.
