يحكي الكتاب عن مايكل جاكسون الذي بدأ مشواره المهني وهو في السابعة من عمره حيث عرف الناس أن صوته جميلا حيث أراد الغناء في حفلة زواج صديق له فعجب الناس لصوته وبدا مشواره الغنائي وبدأت شهرته وبدأ مشواره بالغناء الفردي عام 1971، أما مشواره الفني منفردا عن فرقته فبدأ فعليا عام 1979 وبدأت نجوميته تسطع عام 1984، في مشواره الفردي سجل جاكسون وحصل مايكل خلال مشواره المهني ثلاثة عشر جائزة جرامي وأيضا ثلاثة عشر أغنية حلت بالمرتبة الأولى في الولايات المتحدة، تسلم جاكسون عدة جوائز فخرية أهمها جائزة مغني القرن المقدمة من حفل جوائز الأغاني العالمية.
