يأتي هذا الكتاب كمشروع شخصي يعني لي الكثير وهو ذو شقين الأول وهو أصل الكتاب يرتكز على ورقة بحثية قدمتها أثناء مؤتمر الجنوب الثاني عن وسائل الإتصال والإعلام في شهر شباط 2015 في معهد العلوم الاجتماعية الفرع الخامس أما الشق الثاني فيرتكز على الإهتمام الشخصي والولع بكل ما له علاقة بالتكنولوجيا والإعلام والتواصل ففي بعض الأحيان يبتعد مضمون الكتاب عن علم الاجتماع ليغوص بتفاصيل تكنولوجية بحتة أو نقدية إعلامية خالصة فينتقل التدوين عندها من الإختصاص إلى الاهتمام بقضايا الإعلام والتواصل.
