كتاب طبقات الأمم أو السلائل البشرية هو أحد الأعمال الطموحة المعنية بدراسة الأعراق البشرية (الإثنوغرافيا) وعلم الإنسان (الأنثروبولوجيا) ويهدف العمل إلى وصف المجتمعات الإنسانية من حيث التطور التاريخي والخصائص المعاصرة، نشرت الكتاب دار الهلال للطباعة في القاهرة في عام 1912، ولد مؤلف الكتاب، وهو جرجي زيدان، في بيروت في عام 1861 ودرس الطب في الجامعة الأمريكية هناك، وبعد ذلك أكمل تعليمه الأدبي والفلسفي في القاهرة، قبل العودة إلى لبنان حيث درس العبرية والسريانية.
