يسعى المؤلف في هذا الكتاب إلى تبيان جهود الأفراد والمؤسسات في دعم الخطاب السينمائي بصورة عامة، وتشجيع المواهب الشابة التي تجد ضالتها في الفن السابع. فثمة دعوات كثيرة تبدأ بضرورة إطلاق المهرجانات السينمائية، وإيجاد الحلول اللازمة لمشكلات الفيلم العربي في التمويل والتسويق والمشاركة في المهرجانات العالمية على أوسع مدى ممكن. يتألف الكتاب من مقدمة وواحد وعشرين فصلا إضافة إلى ثبت بسيرة الناقد الذاتية والإبداعية، يتمحور الفصل الأول على الطاقات الشابة التي ترنو إلى الإبداع والابتكار، يخصص الفصل الثاني برمته للمخرج الأردني المغترب عدنان الرمحي الذي أنجز فيلمين روائيين، يرصد الباحث في الفصل الثالث أفلاما متعددة لاثني عشر مخرجا من بينها حكاية شرقية.
