يعرف المؤرخ الدكتور أبو القاسم سعد الله الجزائري العولمة على أنها مجموعة قوانين واستثمار وإتخام البلاد بالمستوردات وإلغاء الثوابت الوطنية، ويقول إن الديمقراطية ليست حكرا على جنس أو دين أو بلاد وإنما هي ممارسة صالحة إن احترموها، كما يصف أبو القاسم سعد الله منظمة التجارة العالمية وتبعاتها وتداعياتها على الاقتصاد الوطني بأنها عبارة عن أخطبوط، وأن الشعبوب لم يؤخذ برأيها في مسألة الانضمام أو عدم الانضمام إلى المنظمة، كما يسلط سعد الله الضوء على الثقافة العربية والعولمة، إذ يقول وحجب على الثقافة العربية إن تواجه التحديات الكبرى لتكون في مستوى العصر القادم، أو تختفي عن الأنظار وتترك المجال لثقافات أخرى أولى منها بالحياة والبقاء، لأن البقاء للأقوى والفضل للمبدع لا للمجتر، هكذا تقول قوانين الطبيعة.
