في هذا الكتاب يجد العاشق لفن الكتابة العربية المجموعة الأولى من الخطوط الكوفية مع نماذج للزخرفة العربية، كما أن هذه المجموعة يغلب عليها الآيات القرآنية أسوة بما نشأ عليه أجدادنا الأوائل من تعظيم لهذا النوع من الخط في كتابة المصاحف وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن هذه المجموعة إنما هي بادرة استمد وحيها الخطاط العبقري حسن قاسم حبش وهي الأولى من نوعها قدر لصاحبها أن يخوض في هذا الميدان فكان له اجتهادات كثيرة في هذا المجال من خلال مؤلفات ومقالات كتبها في مجلات وصحف مختصة في هذا الفن العربي (الخط والزخرفة) كما أنه تولى تدريس مادة الخط العربي والزخرفة في مدارس ومعاهد متعددة في العراق.
