يتناول الكتاب مجموعة من الموضوعات، في فصول عدة، يبين خلالها فضل القرآن الكريم ولماذا سورة الفاتحة وماذا عن معالمها، إضافة إلى تخصيص أحد الفصول عن \"الاستعاذة\" وآخر عن \"البسملة\" وغيرهما عن \"الحمد لله\" أو \"الرحمن الرحيم\" و\"غيرها من الكلمات والآيات التي تتضمنها السورة\" ويختم الكاتب مؤلفه بالإشارة إلى أن سورة الفاتحة ربانية مباركة، تبرز معاني الربوبية وأن أسباب الفلاح وسيلة وحيازته غاية تمت بأصولها إلى هذه السورة الكريمة، بما تضمنته من أصول يستقيم بها العبد في الدنيا وتسلك به طريق النجاة في الآخرة.
