يرصد الكاتب الاضطراب الذي حل بإخوان الأردن إثر 30 يونيو، إذ قدموا خطابا سياسيا ارتداديا غير متوازن ويتحدث العواودة عن الخطوات الإصلاحية التي قام بها إخوان الأردن ويقسمها إلى حقبتين رؤيتهم في ما عُرف بـ \"وثيقة 2005\" وتفاعلهم مع أحداث الربيع العربي ما دفعهم إلى رفع مستوى المطالب وتوجيه نقد صريح لمؤسسة الحكم، خصوصا بعد تعليق الجماعة عضويتها في لجنة الحوار الوطني التي أطلقها النظام كخطوة استباقية لمد حركات الاحتجاج.
