يتحدث الكتاب عن المرأة في لغة القرآن حيث نجم عن التواصل الثقافي مع الغرب والفكر الغربي في العقود الأخيرة إنتشار عدد من التساؤلات الفكرية المرتبطة بالقرآن الكريم ومن هذه التساؤلات التي ألقت بظلها على البحث في القرآنيات التساؤلات المتعلقة بطبيعة موقف القرآن الكريم من المرأة على مستوى اللغة وطرائق التعبير ولا يخفى أن هذا السؤال وأشباهه لم يكن مطروحا على العقل الإسلامي في عهوده القديمة وبعد ظهور التيارات النسوية في الغرب وتسرب أفكارها ودعاواها إلى العالم الإسلامي صار لا بد من النظر في هذا الأمر ولم يعد ممكنا تجاهله وقد حاول هذا الكتاب تسليط بعض الضوء على هذه المنطقة من الدراسات القرآنية مع إعترافه بحداثة البحث مع ما يترتب على هذه الحداثة من صعوبات وتحديات.
