تضم هذه الأنطولوجيا بين دفتيها مجموعة من النصوص القصصية لأدباء ينحدرون من دول ناطقة باللغة الإسبانية، يحظى البعض منهم بشهرة واسعة على الساحة الأدبية العربية كأديب نوبل الكولومبي غابرييل غارسيا ماركيز والكاتب الأرجنتيني خوليو كورتاثار والتشيلية إيزابيل الليندي التي ترجمت أغلب رواياتها إلى اللغة العربية على يد المترجم الألمعي صالح علماني. لكن لازال القارئ العربي يجهل أسماء أخرى لم تنل حظها من اهتمام المترجمين رغم ما في أعمالها من أصالة وتفرد وأخص بالذكر الكاتب البيروفي خوليو رامون ربييرو والدومينكاني خوان بوش وغيرهما.
