يتحدث الكتاب عن \"الهجرات العربية لشرق إفريقيا ونتائجها\" وضح فيه دور القبائل العربية في نشر الإسلام في غرب إفريقيا ثم تطرق للعصر الذهبي للعلاقات المصرية-الإفريقية في عهد عبد الناصر ثم قسم الدراسة إلى بابين رئيسيين الباب الأول عمان وشرق إفريقيا وقسمه إلى فصلين تحدث في فصله الأول عن الوجود العماني في شرق إفريقيا أما ثاني فصول بابه الأول فجاء تحت عنوان \"التأثيرات الحضارية للوجود العماني في شرق إفريقيا\"، وجاء والباب الثاني تحت عنوان \"المملكة العربية السعودية وقارة إفريقيا\" وقسمه إلى ثلاثة فصول تحدث في فصله الأول عن معالم سياسة السعودية تجاه إفريقيا أما فصله الثاني من هذا الباب فتحدث فيه عن دور المملكة في دعم حركات التحرر الوطني في دول شرق إفريقيا أما الفصل الثالث من هذا الباب فجاء تحت عنوان جهود المملكة العربية السعودية في خدمة الأقليات المسلمة في شرق أفريقيا.
