تحكي قصة الكتاب عن صغيرة تمساح اسمها تميمة وابتسامتها حديث الجميع، فأسنانها بيضاء لامعة وقوية. حتى شعرت بألم حاد في أسنانها، فأختها أمها إلى أرنوب طبيب الأسنان. قام بفحصها وعالج التسوس في أسنانها. ثم لم ينسى أن يعطيها تعليمات العناية بالأسنان، تنظيفها كل يوم مرتين بالفرشاة والمعجون ومراجعة الطبيب كل عام مرتين. هكذا نحافظ على سلامة أسناننا وابتسامتنا الجميلة.
