يتناول كتاب (خرافة التنمية) والذي قام بتأليفه \"أوزوالدي دي ريفيرو\" في حوالي (250) صفحة من القطع المتوسط، موضوع (العولمة والتنمية الاقتصادية)، حيث يتكون الكتاب من مقدمة جميلة وستة فصول، الفصل الأول : يتناول أفول الدول الأمم، التي يرى المؤلف أن ملامحها الأساسية صيغت في معاهدة وستفاليا التي أنهت الحروب الدينية بين ملوك أوروبا وتناول الفصل الثاني : في توضيح ملامح الاقتصاد العالمي الحديث وقوة الشركات عبر الوطنية التي تسمى متعددة الجنسيات، الفصل الثالث والذي بعنوان : الداروينية الدولية يتناول كيف صار السوق يطبق نظرية الانتخاب الطبيعي بحيث لا يبقى إلا الشركات القادرة على المنافسة.
