يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن الفتح الإسلامي عن أهداف وأسباب الفتوحات الإسلامية من ثم تكلمت عن بدايات فتح المغرب بشكل عام والأندلس بشكل خاص وألقت الضوء على من تولى إمارة الأندلس من قبل حكام دولة بني أمية وأيضا عن \"دويلات الطوائف وملوك المغرب\" فتحدث عن تشتت الأندلس إلى دويلات وطوائف وتكلم عن أحداث ذلك العهد وملوكه ثم انتقل إلى الحديث عن عهد المرابطين الذي وحد الأندلس بعد فرقته ثم الحديث عن عهد الموحدين وأمرائهم وتداخله مع تاريخ الأندلس حيث كان أمراء المغرب هم من يحكم الأندلس بعد عهد الطوائف.
