Overview
إن الغاية القصوى لهذا الكتاب تتمثل في إعادة النظر في دراسة الشعر الجاهلي إنطلاقا من الشعر النبطي، بحثا عن السمات المشتركة بين هذين الشعرين على المستوى اللغوي، والتجربة الإنسانية، والبناء الفني، وقد دفعني التعالق اللغوي بين هذين الشعرين إلى البحث في مسألة اللغة الأم، وتأريخ تحولات تلك اللغة عبر العصور القديمة. ومن هنا، بدأت بالحديث في القسم الأول عن العلاقات بين الشعرين: الجاهلي والنبطي، ثم توقفت أمام تاريخ الإنسان واللسان والبيان. أما في القسم الثاني فقد قدمت \"عينة تمثيلية\" من النصوص الجاهلية والنبطية، وهي \"عينة\" لأنها تنوب وتمثل الشعر الذي ينتمي إليه، وهي \"تمثيلية\" لأنها تكشف بصورة واضحة عن العلاقات بين ذينك الشعرين على مستوى التجربة والتعبير.
