يدشن هذا الكتاب مدخلا موضوعيا لدراسة الحركات الإسلامية في لبنان وهي حركات لم تحظ بالدراسة الجادة بل تعرضت بأشكالها المختلفة دائما للاتهام من دون تدقيق أو للنقد الذي يصل إلى حدود التجريح أو للإشادة والتفريط العاطفي والإنشائي وبالتالي لم تخضع للتحليل العلمي والأكاديمي الذي يعرض ويحلل وينقد بشكل موضوعي لا يستهدف التجريح والإساءة ولا الإشادة الجوفاء خاصة أن الإسلام السياسي الحركي اللبناني يمارس تجربته التنظيمية والسياسية في حقل شديد التنوع الطائفي والمذهبي من دون أن يتعرض لأي قمع أو اضطهاد كما حدث في العديد من الدول العربية والإسلامية.
