تناول كتاب (التبيان في إعراب القرآن) عدة مباحث هامة : أعرب جميع آيات القرآن الكريم ويذكر آيات السورة على ترتيبها في المصحف. 2- أورد أهم وجوه القراءات وبين وجه إعرابها. 3- لم يشغله البحث في الإعراب والقراءات عن المعنى، يشير إلى معنى الآية والكلمة والجملة في كثيرٍ من الأحيان. 4- يستشهد بالشعر العربي. 5- يذكر القواعد النحوية العامة التي يعتمد عليها في الإعراب. 6- يذكر أئمة النحو والتفسير الذين ينقل عنهم. 7- يعرض لمسائل هامة تفيد الباحث، مثل : الحروف التي افتتحت بها بعض السور وأصل (مهما) وزن أشياء... إلخ.
